About Stuart Engel

Stuart Engel

Hello I’m Stuart Engel. I have been painting and drawing all of my life. I am inspired by music, color, and the search to capture the movement and feeling of the moment. I mostly paint in oils but use other mediums when the mood strikes. I grew up in the DC area and moved to Boulder, CO in the late 70’s where I began my professional artist career. My last show in Boulder was at the Boulder Graduate School. My first daughter was born and I began a 25 year hiatus from my art career. Since then my wife Kim and I had two more daughters. Now that the girls are older and our lives are more stable I felt the time was right to bring my art out of hiding. I’m very excited for new people to see my work and hopefully relate to it enough to purchase...
