Oil painting of Gomez at the Vic in Chicago for their 10th Anniversary of Bring It On Oct, 2, 2008. All five band members signed the original painting! This piece was done with palette knives only, no brushes.

Hello I’m Stuart Engel. I have been painting and drawing all of my life. I am inspired by music, color, and the search to capture the movement and feeling of the moment. I mostly paint in oils but use other mediums when the mood strikes. I grew up in the DC area and moved to Boulder, CO in the late 70’s where I began my professional artist career. My last show in Boulder was at the Boulder Graduate School. My first daughter was born and I began a 25 year hiatus from my art career. Since then my wife Kim and I had two more daughters. Now that the girls are older and our lives are more stable I felt the time was right to bring my art out of hiding.
